Google has been on the prowl for paid links and has altered their algorithm accordingly to not count or ignore paid links to your web site. Why? Google truly does want your site to succeed in it’s database, BUT, it does not want your site to succeed through unnatural methods, i.e, Over inflating your site’s value through purchasing inbound links. Many folks don’t understand this as it was perfectly acceptable a few months ago: here’s my take on the new google stance.
I agree with Google, paid links are in essence artificially inflating your web site’s importance in google. It gives an unfair advantage over the people who have worked hard to add unique content and create important and relevant content. If you are trying to promote your site via organic search engine marketing, it is crucial to remember this: Google wants to show relevant and credible links to it’s consumers. Buying links from Fast Eddie’s link shop because he has a page rank of 5 is considered to be an unfair advantage and may not produce relevant results to the google users.
With search engine marketing, there are no quick and easy solutions, buying links, blackhat seo, keyword stuffing etc., are not the solution to online marketing success. True relevant content and a dedication to providing google, msn, and yahoo users with the information they are seeking is key to ultimate search engine marketing success.
